Contrary to what you might expect there are Cobra replicas running everything from a Ford Essex V6 to a BMW M70 V12. So I’m not really surprised by a Cobra running a Lotus engine, especially since a lot of Cobra replicas are built in British sheds.

You can get an Ace with pretty much any engine if you want. There are a lot of men in sheds who want a “Cobra”.

At least someone found another use for this awesome engine. All that money for initial development, and then gone before a single significant power upgrade was released or a new car engineered. Every time I see an Esprit holding one of these I think of what could have been...
